Please recommend other similar films depicting 1970's nightlife
Besides Saturday Night Fever, what other films can you recommend?
Please, only films that were actually made in the 1970's.

There's a really great lost Canadian film called "One Night Stand" from 1978, which is similar to "Goodbar" about the late '70s singles scene.
It's really hard to find, but if you do find it, it's worth watching.

I just bought One Night Stand on eBay for $5!
Here's to hoping it's a good flick! Thanks for the recommend!
Here are my fave 1970s movies that have scenes of contemporary night-life:
Klute (1971)
Scarecrow (1973)
Mean Streets (1973)
Angst essen seele auf (1974)
Lenny (1974)*
The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976)
Mikey & Nicky (1976)
Opening Night (1977)
Annie Hall (1977)
Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977)
*I'm not 100% sure whether this one is set in the 1970's or not. It feels like it though.
Lenny is about comedian Lenny Bruce, his rise to fame in the 50's and early 60's. He died (heroin overdose) in 1966.
Nothing 70's going on there . . . . except the inevitable influence Lenny Bruce's work had in breaking the taboos of language that helped make the 70's what they were.
Among the excellent recommendations here, I'd add an upbeat antidote to "Saturday Night Fever": "Thank God It's Friday."
Another upbeat one: "Love at First Bite."
A downbeat one loosely connected to the nightlife: "The Eyes of Laura Mars."
And though it was released in 1980, "Foxes" is really a '70s holdover. Ditto for "Cruising" and "Maniac."
Here are some that were also made to capitalize on fads at the time:
Roller Boogie
Skatetown USA
Thank God It's Friday
FM
"Sunnyside" (1979) and "Little Foxes" (1980).
shareLittle Foxes? I think you're getting two films released in early 1980 confused (Foxes and Little Darlings). Agree about Foxes - not sure about Little Darlings.
Dude means nice guy. Dude means a regular sort of person.
I stand corrected, Katz5. I did mean "Foxes," although Jodie Foster is rather petite and could be called a "little fox." : )
Cruising

The Gambler (1974)

Police Python 357 (1976)
The Driver (1978)
Hardcore (1979)
