Is There a 'Jaws' Archetype for Every Character?

It seems there is a ripoff of a Jaws character for the following:

Bertha the Calf = Chrissy the Swimmer
Rack Hansen= Martin Brody
Diane Ashley= Matt Hooper
Mayor Connor=Mayor Vaughn
The Baron = Quint
Annoying Couple at Washburn Inn=Annoying Beach Tourists
Linda=Sean
Terry=Ellen Brody

I haven't found a Jaws equivalent for the following characters:

Colby and Birch
Sherriff Gene Smith
Gas Station Attendant
Country Bumpkin with a Flat Tire

Am I missing something?

"Anyway, dude, you are totally reaching with those comparisons. Post failed."

If you look at all the movies post-Jaws of this nature, you'll find there is almost an exact copy of the main characters of Jaws. The most egregious example is probably "Grizzly"- a movie they might as well have titled "Land Jaws". Kingdom of the Spiders rips Jaws off a little more artfully. In this case, the only real egregious ripoff character is Mayor Connor.

That being said, I really like this movie for the reason it doesn't take itself too seriously. Shatner and Bolling are fun to watch, and there are a lot of great minor characters too, my favorite being the gas station owner played by Hoke Howell. But you really can't deny the Jaws formula.

Sorry you misunderstood my original post- I don't want to trash this film at all. In fact, I think KOTS is highly underrated (Rotten Tomatoes shows it at only 44%).

In some ways, it is the perfect B-Horror film. It's hard to put into words, but despite its grim ending, this movie is just plain fun. There is no gore to speak of, the dialogue is witty, and the bleak ending is blunted by uplifting music from Dorsey Burnette.

Kingdom of the Spiders is one of the best post-Jaws creature features, aka "when animals attack".
