What could of been a better ending to this movie?

I did not like the ending of this movie at all. They showed the whole town covered with spider webs. What could of been a better ending?

Shatner is beamed out of the cabin onto the bridge of the Enterprise.
Mr Spock says to him "Well Captain, at least we tried to save the Earth."
"Let's... travel back in time... with... some... spider catchers and... bug... spray!" respones Shatner

It was funny though. I laughed 'specially when they suddenly played the end music

I loved the ending. Doom. Not enough downer endings in movies. Ooh, I have an idea for a new post. See you there...

It would have been interesting after eating all the humans at the end, the spiders gained the power of human speech and the new Tarantula leader declares to his other spiders that its time to move on to the next town
