Biggest picture improvement ever?

I've seen a lot of old movies that look quite better on DVD, but I've never seen one look this good. The picture on an old vhs tape I rented, looked like it was from the stone age, grainy as hell, dark as hell and washed-out to hell. The picture on DVD looks like a different movie. Anyone agree? And can you think of anymore huge DVD pioture improvements?

No question, this movie looked slick after they gave it a nice DVD treatment. It deserved it also. This is one hilarious movie and a lasting favorite of mine.

You're 100% right... I recently watched it on DVD (having only seen the VHS years and years ago) and I was shocked at the difference... I remember watching the old tape, the movie theatre scene was so dark that you could barely even tell that it was an actual theatre (you couldn't see the background at all--just the one guy and the usher).

I'd say both this and "1984" (also originally a very dark and grainy picture) rank right up there.
