Ironic: Zinc Oxide and You
I saw this movie in a theater on a Friday night in 1977 when it was new. During the segment, Zinc Oxide and You, I wondered what common materials (unlike the nonsense examples in the movie) actually contained the compound. The next morning, I went to a dental appointment, and during a drill & fill, my dentist applied some Cavitec as a pulp cap. When I asked him what Cavitec was made of, he replied, "It's mostly zinc oxide." I told him about the movie, which he had not seen. Amazing! Only 15 hours after seeing a comedy sketch about the important of zinc oxide, my dentist was putting some into my tooth.
