Is there any other movie like kentucky friend movie

this is one of the best comedies ive ever seen...and i want more....

p.s. i didnt like airplane

reply

Didnt like airplane...really, but you liked this?
Well this movie is "trademark" Zucker/Abrahams.
If you didnt like airplane, then Im not sure if you will like some of these guys aother work. I suggest the Naked Gun series, the three movies and the TV episodes which were heaps funnier I thought.
Also "Top Secret" (not written by all three I dont think?) and the later of the Scary Movie's. You will know which ones, they are the movies that are actually funny!

1st of all i know nebody can edit wikipedia so i take it as word of mouth and dont completly believe it but acording to wikipedia sum people say the movie amazon women on the moon is similar 2 this movie

reply

Amazon Women On the Moon is very similar. Definately inspired by Kentucky Fried Movie. Both Films Inspired us at Random Coconuts to Make "The Power Time Show" A pilot for TV. Coming Later This Year.

reply

John Landis Produced and Co-Directed "Amazon Women on The Moon". The Zucker Brothers were not involved so the humor is slightly different, but it still has the Landis touch and is still quite funny. Landis WAS going for a follow up to KFM.

The Arsenio Hall sketch was probably the funniest sketch ever. When he plugs in the VCR, OMFG that was my biggest laugh ever. Almost as good as Mr. Creosote!!!

The Groove Tube.

I was going to suggest 'The Groove Tube' too, but it doesn't hold up nearly as well as KFM.

reply

The Groove Tube preceded it by about 5 years and was more 60's oriented.

Tunnel Vision was a contemporary film. But not as good.

Top Secret came a few years later and was by the same producers - easily best Elvis spoof/Airplane-type movie ever.

reply

You didn't like Airplane! but you liked this sh!t.

I seriously have lost respect for you. I almost literally spewed when you said that.

"The Groove Tube" preceeded it by 3 years and made a short comeback after this was released. Also, "Can I do it Till I Need Glasses" was clearly influenced by this and in the same genre.

reply

I'd say try "The Onion Movie". I loved it.
