Beautiful cinematography by Gerry Fisher

Gerry Fisher's cinematography in this film is exquiste. He always tended to prefer minimal key lighting in dark interiors and this film features some of his best work. Alas, the script and special effects are weak and so repeat viewings are not on anyone's list, but check the film out again for Fisher's photography. He worked many times with Joe Losey but he worked on all kinds of films:

Monsieur Klein (1976)
The Go-Between (1970)
Running on Empty (1988)
Highlander (1986)
The Ninth Configuration (1980)
The Offence (1972)
Malpertuis (1971)
Man in the Wilderness (1971)
The Romantic Englishwoman (1975)
Wolfen (1981)
The Exorcist III (1990)

All of these films have incredible interior lighting. He was one of the great modern cinematographers. He is now retired.

Thanks for posting this, it isn't often the cinematographer is singled out on these boards. Fisher's done some really incredible work!!! I especially loved the romantic Scotland photography from "Highlander" and the extremely creepy compositions of the underrated "Exorcist III."
