The random scene with the documentary style camera

After the group finds Gorgeous, they follow her downstairs and she heads to the phone, does some creepy, then walks out of the house and the door locks behind her. The movie switches to a documentary/found footage camera style for that scene and for some reason I found it so unsettling. Immediately I felt like I was watching something real, girls in an actual haunted house, it was so bizarre. The way the camera was always a few steps behind them, it gave me that "I better hurry up, I don't want my back facing the darkness" sort of feeling, I kept wanting the camera to catch up to the group. They walked down the stairs and all the dark corners of the house seemed so ominous. I can't explain why, the entire movie wasn't anything close to scary, yet that one scene was so creepy for some reason. Anyone else feel the same way?

Yeah, it was my favorite part. It was very creepy.

I thought the way they filmed the whole movie with such tight frames was great. Like you were one of them, following every movement. They used that tactic in Casablanca and it really adds to the experience.
