i remember when i was like 10 or something i saw ff and there was a scene where the daughter was supposed to dive, but the mum was scared of heights so at the last minute, they switch back, but when i recently saw jodie foster's version, it wasn't in it, is this the 1995 version of ff that i'm thinking about, or am i just making it up?
shareI've only seen the 1995 version once, and it's been a while, but I'm pretty sure it's that version you're thinking of. Without seeing it again, I can't be absolutely positive, but I am almost positive that diving scene is in that version. At least, I swear I remember it that way, which would indicate that you're NOT just making it up! I hope that helps!

shareThat's true, in the original version, she was water skiing (uh, I can never remember how that's spelled and if it's one word or two or whatever...) but in the 1995 remake, the girl was diving, and when the mom was in her body, she was terrified of heights or something... I only saw it once, so I don't remember very well. They obviously had the diving thing in the remake in place of the water skiing scene in the original.
But anyway, the original poster was definitely thinking about the 1995 version. I remember that scene more now since I last replied here.

shareIt was Freaky Friday. It was the 1995 remake of it. There have been three versions of the movie. There is actually a topic on the Freaky Friday '95 version, I just saw, where someone else asked about the diving scene, and someone else confirmed that that was the right movie. I went there to check to see if anyone else mentioned it because your post made me doubt myself, but it WAS the version of Freaky Friday I was talking about with the diving scene. Maybe there was also another movie with a similar scene, too, and that's what you remember? But it did happen in Freaky Friday...only the 1995 one.
