hey i just saw the reamke of this and i was wondering about this one i remeber seeing it on tv when i was a kid but dont relayy recall thst much. waht it the basic plot line other than the body switch.

In the old movie, Annabelle plays sports and wears braces and that's about it, in the new one there's more plot because Tess (the mother of Anna) is about to marry, Anna is in a music band which is supposed to play the day of the wedding rehearsal, Tess has to go on TV to explain her new book, Tess is a psychologist, and Anna likes a guy but Tess spoils their relationship.
I think that's the basic.
In the old one, the father works for a company of some sort. They are going to open a marina and have invited their big clients for a show and buffet.
Anabelle and her team were suppose to do a show on the water. What's it called?
Water skiing and a guys in a boat pulls them? There was also a guy who was suppose to do a glider thing, which is also pulled by a boat.
The father calls home to tell Mrs Andrews that there was some confusion at the caterers so there will be no buffet. He wants Ellen to cook something in 3 hours.
Anabelle thinks being a housewife is a peice of cake but finds out her mom ha a lot to do... on that particular day at least.

Also in this version, whilst they are in each others bodies, they have no direct contact with each other and are left alone to deal with what's happening without any advice or help from each other.
