I Can See This Story Going In Some Very Risky Directions

As in, what if the mother-daughter switch wasn't reversed until much later Friday night? Early in the film, the husband appeared to be very turned on by his "wife's" change in personality; what if the movie had climaxed in the bedroom (no pun intended)? That would have been a great moment for the switch to happen, ahem, just in time. But it probably would not have been a Disney movie by that point.

I can think of other edgy scenarios for the movie as well but invite others to contribute.

Thoughts?

There, daddy, do I get a gold star?

Christ, Gnolti, now you're thinking like me! That can be dangerous!

Of course, the fact that Barbara Harris is hot as hell does not help.

I agree, I often think about what Annabelle, in her mother's body, would have done if her father came onto her.

But that was just twisted thinking, I suppose. And one that turned my stomach so I had to push it away.

I thought about the same thing. Bill really LIKED being called Daddy!! The bedroom scenario came to mind instantly.

In the book, Annabel as the mom asks the father to take her to a dirty movie. I kid you not.

Another edgy situation was when Annabell called her father "daddy" while in her mother's body. This happened more than once and the father thought the wife had some agenda on her mind. I laughed. Thankfully it was all in good taste and done to good comedic effect. I never find incest that appealing in movies anyways. It's a Disney family film; young kids watching the film may not understand the subtext but the parents that are watching with them would get the joke.

Just because it's a Disney film doesn't mean much ... Splash with Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah was made by Disney, and there was a lot of hanky panky in it ... Flight of the Navigator, also by Disney, uses some 4-letter language.

Jackie: She's sick and I'm her understudy. Roseanne: Well, who's going to say "tureen of beef"??

I may have been wrong about Splash ... one of its distributors was ABC, whose parent company is Disney ... maybe that's how I associated Splash with Disney ...

"Down and Out In Beverly Hills" is Disney too. Remember in the 90s it was revealed some of the animaters had side jobs in porno? After Disney died, the movies started to be less family movies, which was when FF was made -after Disney. I don't recall the sexual induendos when I saw FF in 1977 at the age of 18 - kids nowadays know more... Anyways, about 10 years ago I saw it again and with my "older eyes" I recognized the sex induendos.

Imo, I think it was done of purpose. It was the 70s man.
