Had forgotten about this movie...watched it a lot as a kid.

I was browsing Netflix last night and came across this movie. I had completely forgotten about it. I watched it a TON when I was a kid. I remember it being on HBO all the time. I watched it on Netflix last night just for kicks and nostalgia. Of course, it didn't have the same magic as it did when I was 6, but what movie ever does?

I think the magic is still there. Maybe because it began on HBO it never got the traction like the Peanuts special. But this really SHOULD be the one kids wait for every year. But even that is gone now too with VHS/DVD.
