So what kind of animals are these two characters supposed to be? Just curious.

Probably opossums or weasels...that's what I took them as. It's hard to say.

Harvey is a Beaver and Charlie is a Muskrat. Remember, when Charlie says, "I play the cigar box banjo really good. Well, my ma' says."

His "Ma" is Miss. Muskrat who visits Ma Otter to use the spinning wheel. :)
