Hi there! I was hoping someone could help me out -- ever year my mom and I try to find a movie that she would have seen when she was young. Now they only had peasant vision which from what she tells me the only real children's programming was on the wonderful world of disney.

But we went through the archives of the wonderful world of disney and her mysterious movie wasn't there so I'm thinking it has to be something else.

What she remembers is an animal band in the forest getting together and a scene where they are peering through a window at the "bad animals" playing poker inside. When she was watching it, it would have been in the 70s sometime.

I *may* have seen it because it does sound familiar but I would have been so little if/when they were still playing it.

So is this the one? Is the search finally over? Please let me know, because I'd love to get this for my mom to surprise her for Christmas if that's the case. I try to bring Christmas movies home with me every year when I go for the holidays and I know she would be thrilled to be reunited with her long lost movie.

Just saw the clip as posted above. Could see where this might have been a "practice run" for EOJBC. Very clever, though somewhat darker atmosphere, however, the donkey could have been the inspiration for the "Shrek" character. Great dixieland intro theme.
