Where is Emmet's Dad? Is it ever mentioned what happened to him? Did he have a heart attack? Leave Ma high and dry for young beaver?

Probably was too heavy for the ice and fell in!

If you listen closely and look for the clues it is implied he had an affair with Gretchen Fox, and he left home after it was discovered.

Pretty sure they mentioned he died, although I don't think they mention how.
