Thought the score deserved a much better film to be honest!I`ve got it on an old cd pressing from 2000(Airship One AOD HB002) by Airship One Company which also has the equally impressive score from "Riddle of the Sands."Excellent sound quality-may still be available.

Oh fie for shame! The Duellists is one of Ridders' three decent films!

It`s beautifully shot granted but Karradine is very weak and Keital on auto-pilot.Nice costumes,wonderful score but the script just didn`t engage -maybe give it another try someday.

I don't think that Keitel is supposed to be a character, more an embodiment of Carradine's aggression (a bit like Carter in Get Carter being a Jacobean avenger). Diana Quick's in it too....
