After the baby is born and the camera zooms in the kid's eye and then we see this other wordly landscape as the credits start. What is this suppose to represent? Proteus was searching the stars, specifically the constellation of Orion. Are the two connected? It's not very clear.

That would be Michelle Stacy, who also starred that same year in Disney's "The Rescuers" as the voice of Penny.
Even funnier, Dana Laurita, who played Susan's young patient, Amy, also was a voice in a Disney animated film, "Robin Hood" (1973) as the girl bunny who says "You shot that into Prince John's backyard".
Dana was also in The Goodbye Girl ((she played Cynthia Fine, or Fines, I was never sure)) lol, i was watching this tonight and i knew it had to be her, Ive seen TGB a bazillion times, Im surprised i recognized her:)
