i just watched this movie and alot of it was very far out and hard to belive. but one part i really didn't understand was when proteus crush's the nerd(the guy who reflected the laser)where did the body go? it was shown no where eles in the movie there was no blood on the machine or in the basment or any signs of him in the lab at all did he just disapear or something?

According to the script, available for purchase through www.scriptcity.com, there was a scene (a pressbook image of it exists on EBAY) cut from the film where Proteus shows Susan on the house's screen a digitized image on the screen of Gabler's intact body laid out on the slab, while, at the same time, tossing the decapitated remains into the basement furnace (some great lines of dialogue between Susan and Proteus of what it means to be human accompanies this scene). Proteus then calls Harris' office, using Gabler's voice, telling the doctor that he quits and won't be back.
