I was a kid, i remember watching it on UK bbc1 or bbc2 late night about 11pm - it was some kind of sci-fi horror movie about a house that has a computer system that has A-I but its evil and i remember watching this scene where towards the end theres this camera shot that follows the vertical drop rapidly into some kind of hell - anyone got a clue i think its defintely a US film set probably in the 80s...

You're quite right. The more technology advances, the more ignorant people get. People have always been stupid, but it's worse now than ever before in history. Anything that came out 6 months ago is considered "old".....and therefore worthless. Quality is without consideration. Newness is the only thing that matters. How sad. How typical.
