THE DEEP

Does anybody know if there is any video or dvd existing
which has the extra 53 minutes in as was shown on NBC some time ago?

I would like to know that as well. I like this movie and have been wanting to know what the tv broadcast was like. I have read the novel and I wonder, does the tv version have the scene where Cloche does a midnight number on Gail and David at Treece's house? Or the scene in the opening when David is going up the elevator and it 'stops' all of a sudden? There are som great moments that I am sure never made it to the final cut of the film.

Are these scenes that were filmed? Did you see them on a TV show? Maybe they'll bring out a DVD with these cuts on to coinside with the re-do called Into the Blue. 53 mins that's alot. Never heard of any missing bits before though.

What woodward92 was saying is that there are scenes of those which are in the book, and he/she was wondering if those made it to the tv version. I think he/she was questioning if they were filmed, and if they were in the tv version, that would be an answer in itself.

I have too read the book, and I remember those scenes, the ones' woodward spoke about, Cloche stopping by Treece's in the middle of the night and threatning David and Gail's life, and in the opening, when David is going up the elevator, and it 'stops' for no apparent reason.

Would have made some cool stuff for the film!

I am considering nothing less than WORLD DOMINATION!
