Is it worth my time?

I've been wanting to see this movie for years, mostly because it's based on a Peter Benchley novel and it's the only movie I haven't seen that was based on one of his novels, but is it worth my time?

An arguement between a 17 year old fisherman and idiots of PETA is a sight to see

Its an ok time waster. I haven't seen it for quite a few years. I believe the film "Into the Blue" has a similar plot.

Yes, by all means! YES! Get some popcorn and relax...

It's OK. The book was better however. Also you might be interested to see Jacqueline Bissett in a wet T-shirt:)

Not great by any means, but entertaining. Nice score. But, don't expect it to be as good as the book. It has more typical Hollywood ending.

No--the T shirt stayed on. If she had taken the shirt off this would have gotten an R rating!

I think it is because i saw it on tv but i don't think it was like the novel at all.

I only read a bit of the novel, but yeah, there are quite a few things that are different. The opening scuba scene, for instance, doesn't have the bit of her getting grabbed by the moray eel, or her panicking and bolting for the surface.

There's also a great bit where, I think it's Gail who suggests that they have sex during their next dive, and David explains (I think erroneously) about how an ejaculation at 30 feet could throttle the brain of the person you're being intimate with.
