does anyone understand what happened when they were
diving at the start of the movie and her arm gets trapped
and pulled and she gets violently slammed a few times.
what was up with that? what the heck was that?
And does the book describe that?

anyway I enjoyed the fight scene very much!

It is strongly implied that the EEL which is seen later in the movie is the cause-she brings her hunting stick out from under the ship, and it's bitten off. Also, in the book, something similar happens...I need to read that again! I LOVED the book!
