I think Romer Treece would later regret (spoilers)...

Given his extensive diving experience and love of history, I think he would later regret blowing up the two shipwrecks with dynamite. All the bad guys were killed, so they could've dove the wreckage the rest of the day at least. From a preservation standpoint, they should've taken as many pictures as they could to document what they found (like they tried to do earlier in the movie).

Even if Cloche did tell other people what was down there (not likely), he probably had just established what he had, his price per ampule, a possible buyer and a way to get it to America. His absence wouldn't be known by anyone for quite some time.

The point? Given Treece's track record of dives, I think he would later realize his emotional decision to blow the wreckage in the wake of Kevin's death (his best friend) was a mistake. How could he not given what they found to that point? Knowing the "shopping list" of items that were still down there, I think he would rethink his decision if he could.

Things were very much in doubt when the fight underwater was happening. Treece was fighting for his life and had to make a decision, so he pulled the detonation cord. He didn't want more of his friends dead because of the treasure hunt, and wanted to get rid of the morphine ampules for good. So it was get the 'provenance' this dive, or not at all.
