The only two really good parts of this movie.

The first is in the beginning minute or so. I need not explain further.

The second was just before the credits, at the end + the credits w/ music. A ridiculously happy ending.

In between you can snooze. The moray eel was stupid.

Well I haven't seen it yet --only portions-- and from doing some diving there were a few scenes that freaked me out. It appeared dangerous and real.
Seeing this in the dead of winter has it's benefits as well.

THIS! i watched this movie as an impressionable youth in the 70s and early 80s... went for dive certification a few years back and it has a lot of what i thought about when i was under.

The moray eel was stupid.

It was a Peter Benchley flick, so I guess he figured he had to have a beastie in it. But yeah, pretty daft -- not to mention corny and obvious, shooting a moray from weird angles to try to make it look like a monster.

No, that's why we buy cinema tickets -- so we don't have to !! 
