AMAZON.COM AND IMDB HAS TO STOP TRICKING US!!!

I'M GETTING SICK OF SEEING A LONG-AWAITED MOVIE BEING LISTED AS BEING ON DVD ON IMDB AND THEN CLICKING THE DVD LINK ON THE TOP-RIGHT AMAZON BOX AND FINDING OUT THAT IT'S NOT ON DVD - IT'S TOTALLY LAME. IF IT'S NOT ON DVD IT SHOULD HAVE NO DVD LINK. I GUESS IT'S A WAY OF GETTING PEOPLE TO SIGN THE PETITION BUT IT'S SUCH A PSYCH AND A TOTAL LET-DOWN.

I agree, but stop "shouting", hehe.

Apparently is did come out on DVD very briefly. Least that was what I was told at Waldenbooks Videi section some years back. Other accounts say that the DVD was very low quality or a VHS port?

Anyone seen an actual DVD release and can comment on its quality? (guess not. :P)

It has never been released by any official studio. It almost got a release from AnchorBay in 2006, but FOX bought the rights back b/c they wanted to do the DVD release. There have been many "bootleg" versions of it. Low quality. FOX has an original widescreen print with the original 360 Degree sound that they were trying to promote at the time. It is a matter of time before this hits DVD, and hopefully we can expect a restored widescreen stereo version that will look and sound very nicely on those Widescreen TVs were all buying ;)

I just bought it on DVD on eBay last week (Asian, I'm sure an unofficial copy from some other source -- laserdisc? VHS?). You aren't missing ANYthing. So awful.
