Why was there so much sand on the floor in Circus Circus? Was it supposed to have blown in there after the war? I realize that the place would be dirty, but there seemed to be several inches of sand in there.
And when they were in the Landmaster with the mutants or whatever they were and Jan Michael Vincent says something about a PLAC 99, what does that mean?

well the wether is supposed to have gone "insane" as they say in the movie begining, and even if it wasnt that way in vegas they have duststorms and wind that make the dust look like fog (ive been in it) so in a few years sure there could be dust and sand inside circus circus. (if the windows were broken) but what puzzles me is the slot machines still had lights working, now i know their aint still gonna be electricity going.
the plac99 is the code to launch the missles in the begining of the movie one guy says it and the other guy goes "i agreee" so when tanner said it he was trying to convey to the other guy "were under threat lets attack " without the hillrods knowing what they meant.
I wonder if Damnation Alley inspired that Nintendo video game, Contra?
