What if one of them was a devout Christian?

I wondered what would happen if someone tried to quote Bible scripture to the car or what would happen if it tried to get someone with strong faith in God. The car was hinted to be demonic in origin and it couldn't get into the cemetery because it was hallowed ground, so I wonder if it would've made a difference.

Burn, witch! Burn, witch! Burn! Burn! Burn!

The cemetery was hallowed ground, but anything goes on the street.
The car probably wouldn't drive through a church though...

So you don't think it would make a difference if a person was holy or not?

Burn, witch! Burn, witch! Burn! Burn! Burn!

reply

No. The car was out to kill & claim souls for Satan...

But if you're a Christian and believe in the Devil, then you'd also believe that Jesus/God would take your soul after you'd gone - whatever method you died by (I.e. Whether the Car killed you or not)..

I'd bet quoting bible verses woukd only piss it off. Think Regan (sp?) in The Excorsist minus being tied up. Quoting bible verses only pissed her off more and had she not been tied up...well, you can only imagine.

Terrible things Lawrence. You've done terrible things.

reply

Good question. If it were me making the movie, I would have made that the key to defeating the car altogether.

Devout prayer didn't save the family in "The Hills Have Eyes", and there were internal combustion engines in that movie, too. Ergo, it wouldn't have helped. So there. My logic is inescapable.

"You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you."
"You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die."
