It's not very creative, but fits the movie perfectly if you think about it. There was no driver. Just a mysterious car that came out of left field to start killing people for no reason. And the characters referred to it in the only way they could: The Car.
What would work better without sounding pretentious? "The Scary Black Vehicle Possible Driven By Satan Movie?" lol
