I get that Ike had given the go ahead for this incredible operation/s, but why no brief portrayal of either allied commander?

The film somehow feels empty without the supreme commanders, Churchill or Roosevelt making a brief appearance?

I didn't expect to see someone playing them. I thought there might be a brief film clip. Sosabowski was the most prominent figure portrayed by actor.
