The scenes when they're actually practicing with William Devane (Mike Leak) coaching are excellent baseball scenes. The final game in the Astrodome is cool too and pretty inspiring at the end.
Minus some racial slurs, it's a short, fun baseball movie and a little underrated.
I can't watch this movie, I think it's awful. And I was in it. In the Astrodome scene I was a paid extra. I liked it when it came out because I was 9, but I really can't sit through it now.

I agree holybuckeye. I think this movie has in fact MANY great moments. One of my all time favorites.
