Tanner the bigot

I like the character Tanner despite that he is a bad influence on children.

Tanner was not only a bigot, he constantly got into fights, especially the one with the seventh grade after the Bears were humiliated by the Yankees. He was also one of the most frustrated players, constantly throwing his glove in the dirt after missing a ground ball.

well, the entire movie biz has SHUT THAT KID UP, as you say...

as in, there are no more realistic kids on film...

in real life, kids are NOT politically correct, and often say very mean things... it's how they are; it's how it is...

THE BAD NEWS BEARS was realistic, and Tanner was one of the best characters for that reason, he was realistic... and funny as hell...

calling a kid a racist is just so silly... SO silly...

becuase of the political correctness wave that standardized the world in the mid-nineties, there are no more classic kids on film...

That crap is god awful and all of those black rappers are racist and show it in their music (if you want to call it that).

Hello, that was the way the character was supposed to be... a short little runt with a big temper and a foul mouth. To me Tanner was like a chihauhua. They are tiny dogs they think their more vicious than a pitt bull and act like they can tear you a new butthole if you get too close. You probably can pick one up and break it in two like a stick. But still you back away because their viciousness is so there in your face. That was Tanner.
TANNER LIVES IN REAL LIFE! I was at the local roller skating rink with my girlfriend and her son for a skating fundraiser for his school. When they had the races they had a kid who was short, had a slightly stocky build and was blond. He had to be around 10 or 11. He was in one race and won first place. I mean he moved like his butt was on fire. He tried to get in on the next race to win again and the referee told him no because it was for the 13 year olds. He walked away pissed saying OH CRAP loudly and I swear he looked and acted just like Tanner from BNB! Me and my girfriend were giggling our butts off at this kid! I AM NOT MAKING THIS STORY UP!!!
