Why didn't Engelberg eat pizza?

The scene where Mike Leak Drives the Bears in his convertible to the pizza parlor and in the pizza parlor, Engelberg is mysteriously absent! This kid ate KFC on the toilet so I know he wouldn't miss out on free pizza.

I hadn't noticed, but my guess would be he didn't fit in the car.
