better than the original!

Anyone else think so?

I always liked this one better than the first for some reason.

And I never liked the third one.

It's because it's both a sports movie and a road trip movie. And the stakes are much higher too. The game is in the astrodome with a way bigger crowd. It was much more grand than those little league games they were in before. The toros are a way bigger competition than the Yankees from the first film. You wanna see the Bears win much more than you did before. There is a heart warming father son story in it and oh yeah the Bears win in this one!

Damn straight Troy my man!

Having seen both in the theaters in my pre-teens, I'd say I enjoyed this one more as it somehow seemed less mean spirited and Mike Leak appeared to be a better coach. We'd never have this without the original BNB, but its like they combined a road trip, family drama and big championship into one show.

I saw this movie on cable a few times, before I saw the other two movies on DVD... years later.

This movie is what interested me in seeing the other two... So, this one has the special place in my heart...

Also, as pointed out by others, this movie also features a road trip, with a great song! Hard to beat that!

While there were a few good moments in the original, for the most part it just doesn't do much for me... and seeing a coach drinking and smoking around kids, actually made me enjoy the movie less...

I think this movie works better overall than the first.

But the last movie? That was the worst of the three.

It's a decent enough film but in no way is it as good as the first film. It sorely missed Matthau and O'Neal. And the Bears just aren't as fun in this one. I'd give the first one 91/100 and this one about 65/100.

I always thought it was funnier. Plus the road trip aspect. It's lighter, but more enjoyable. Engelberg and Ahmad are hilarious in this. And Tanner running around the baseball field fleeing security? Ha!
