I like the scene where Alucarda dances in circles and screams with joy, "SATAN! SATAN! SATAN!" I thought Michael Sembello's 'Maniac' was gonna pop up on the soundtrack!
shareRather cringey, I would say, a movie of the type where you often find yourself watching with a face trying to hold a laugh, and the theatrical overly dramatic acting and soliloquies aren't helping. I'm not sure what to make of it. It is not boring, and in a strange way it is mildly engrossing, it has some good scenery and lighting, and at the end I felt entertained, though the lesbian action was pretty timid. Ultimately, I failed to perceive the origin of its cult status. It is one of those movies that you watch with your friends to show how weird you are.
