He was the best reason but I would argue Chrissy became such an imbecile, it hurt the show in terms of quality. I can only guess the ratings dictated her level of stupidity. I guess it was considered charming? The first two seasons were the best and if you go back and watch it, Chrissy may have been a bit slow but she wasn't the total airhead she later became. I always liked Janet. Chrissy's cousin never worked for me at all but I didn't mind the nurse who later came on the show. I liked Don Knotts but the Ropers were better and funnier. The guy who played Larry was always good and funny, too. And, though she was on the show a short time, I got a kick out of that older lady who always hit on Jack. It's a fun show. And it was never a bad show at all. I hope at some point they offer a cleaned up blu ray because the dvd's are not very good quality at all.

Yeah he was very good. Such a simple and fun show. Writers were funny.

Ritter was certainly the star of the show but there are lots of great episodes throughout the series even without Chrissy. I only dislike the last handful of episodes of the last season. But yes, Ritter was a legend. F (equals "flowers" fyi)

I preferred Janet over all of the other girls. I also thought that Chrissy became insufferable when she ramped the "dingy" act all the way up to 10. She started off as a fairly canny gal with only a touch of dingy. Then Sommers started with the asymmetrical ponytail and became virtually retarded.
