What happened to Jack's girlfriend, Linda? What was the reason that they wrote out her character?

I believe "Stanley's Hotline" was her last episode. I guess she told Jack to get lost. Again. I think she was one of Jack's better girlfriends, human and real.

Anne Schedeen reappeared later in a couple of different roles, however. She appeared as the loan officer in "Jack Gets His," getting him back for his patronizing pickup line.

Yes, the actress appeared in several later episodes but "Linda" disappeared after the 3rd season.

Didn't they officialy break up in the episode where jack and Chrissy were alone in the apartment, and Janet was downstairs at MRs. Ropers?

Jack and Linda took a break when Linda temporarily moved in during the Stanley's Hotline episode. They probably got back together again for a hot minute.

Funny thing is for as good as she probably was, all I see is Kate Tanner from "ALF" when I see her

A lot of times minor characters disappear and no reason is given.
