reply

OK
Then why was he using GI Bill for CulinarySchool for part of show until he flucked out?

reply

He didn't flunk out of culinary school. Someone tried to sabotage Jack at his final exam.

reply

I was wrong.

reply

Didn't Three's Company and The Jeffersons have the same producers or directors? George was also in the Navy and he was a cook too lol George became a dry cleaner of course.

reply

I can't picture him in the navy. He was afraid of everyone. He probably broke down crying in boot camp.

reply

Jack didn't seem disciplined enough to have been in the Navy, like maybe he didn't last long there? But if that's a part of his storyline then it is what it is.

reply

yeah remember his friend let him be discharged earlier and that's why he thought the FBI was looking for him lol

reply

I am thinking he spent a lot of time pealing potatoes. Maybe that's why he decided to be a chef.

reply

peeling Unless your talking about bells.

Back in the days when he was young enough to serve, there was an active draft. It wouldn't be unusual for someone to get drafted into the Army or Navy and serve two or three years. The Marine Corps has always been an all volunteer service, and I think that the Air Force was all volunteer, too, but I may be wrong on that. I do recall one episode where Larry said that he served in the Marine Corps, but Richard Kline actually served in the Army in Vietnam as an officer with an Engineer Battalion.

He took lots of showers with the boys !!
