You're right. That early season hairstyle was a disaster. It looked like a black poodle was sitting on her head. Luckily, by season four Joyce Dewitt must have lobbied for a more stylish hairstyle, so she started sporting that "Pat Benetar look" that was much more flattering for her. Joyce actually shows a sexiness we would never have expected from prior seasons.
