shareThe late Lucille Ball was the star of one of the most popular sitcoms of all time (I Love Lucy) and was considered a legend in the world of comedy.
John Ritter was a big fan of LB and regarded it as an honor to have her host the episode (if I'm not mistaken, it was originally a 1 hour "special" episode--but in syndication it's split into two parts).
I thought "Best of..." was OK. It was just basically an extended "clip show" that sitcoms often do.
Which generally just means that the writers, in effect, said, "We don't really feel like writing an episode this week.".
But, given all of that, I thought that they did an OK job with it.
There were special opening credits for the Best Of episode. It showed a grid of former and present cast members. I noticed Ann Wedgeworth wasn't in those credits nor was she in any of the clips.
shareIt was a good episode, certainly not the greatest. It might have worked better if they did this during the end of the 7th season especially since they reached the 100th episode by that time. Lucille Ball did a great job as host for that episode. I never knew that she was a fan of 3's Co.
shareThey should of had Audra Lindley do it.
