I have great memories of being allowed to stay up and watch TOTU as a youngster in the late 70s & early 80s and the episodes that are fondly remembered from this time are:
1.Lamb to the slaughter
2.The Landlady
3.The Hitchhiker
4.Royal Jelly
5.Dip in the pool
These were all early episodes and I cannot recall ever watching the later ones, so I was delighted when ITV3 began to show them all.
Whilst times have changed and some episodes are, by today's standards a bit old hat and predictable, some of the episodes I have just recently watched for the first time still have that genuine element of surprise. The ones that I particularly liked were:
A man with a fortune
A Harmless Vanity
Clerical Error
and of course, the universally appreciated The Fly-paper.
I watched The Fly-paper for the first time just recently I was genuinely disturbed by this truly chilling episode!!!
