When will UKTV history show KESSLER?

Does anyone know when UKTV history will show KESSLER?

Thanks.

reply

I don't think Kessler's been shown in years, perhaps because of contractual issues. It's long overdue for a re-run!!!

There was also a one-off follow up of Secret Army about a lifeline reunion set in 1968. It has never been shown but no-one seems to know why.

reply

Yep, that was a shame. As far as I know it had something to do with the content having communist sympathies or something!!

Hi, I checked with UK Hist and got this reply:

Thanks for your e-mail.

We are glad to hear so many people have enjoyed watching Secret Army on
UKTV History. We will certainly look into showing 'Kessler' at a future
date.

Regards,

UKTV History

reply

I must admit I was slightly disappointed with Kessler but great that more people are discovering or re-discovering the excellent Secret Army.

Actually, I just saw an advert for Kessler on UKTV History, which said it would start next Tuesday at 3pm. (Just confirmed that with my Freeview 7-day programme thingy.)

reply

They are screening it now

reply

Not much help now ...but it was also shown on UK Freeview chan "Yesterday" (was UKTV History) Twice thru this year, [it might have still been called UKTV History as they have not long changed the name], so they might do so again.

Kessler was seriously one of the worst BBC dramas of all time, a real turkey. Okay it was hampered by budget cuts, but even more by a silly script and lousy acting. I'm thinking of posting a joke laudatory reeview of it, headlined "Kessler was the MAN with the iron mask".

Mr.Hitler has made life very difficult for Shakespearian companies.

when will you buy the dvds ?
