I saw SECRET ARMY when it was first shown in 1977-1979.

I liked it then but I did not get how good it was due to not then being someone obsessed with World War 2 and European history.

So I love the series but watching all 3 series on dvd I have to make some comments.

ALBERT,he is an odd character, he is brave, a patriot but he is also obsessed with his business making lots of money.

He gives up on MONIQUE too quickly I think.

MONIQUE,I get her frustration with ALBERT but she suddenly marries a British officer?

In the interviews on the dvd boxed set the actress seems to have been a bit unhappy with the character.

The best realised character in the series was KESSLER whose background and motivations are made very clear.
