The NBC version from 1981 will have its first season released on June 8. As for this version, no word so far. Cross your fingers for healthy sales of the NBC season, as if that sells well, they will probably release this one.
shareWell I just bought the network 90 dvd's, and in the booklet that comes with it, they do say that they are planning to release the original half hour show after they release this series. So keep your eyes and ears open.

shareThe pricing depends on where you buy it...I got my set at Best Buy for about $58, while yesterday I saw it at Suncoast for $84. I do agree it was well worth it.
As for the program info on this site, I think they have some performers and dates mixed up. I believe the original SCTV ran from 1976-79, so Martin Short's name didn't belong here (though it does belong on the SCTV Network 90 page)From what I can gather there was a hiatus of about 2 years between the syndicated run's end, and NBC's revival.
Given that I know all that must mean I am more than an average fan, LOL
As far as I know SCTV never went on hiatus. From 1976 onwards new episodes aired in Canada (on Global I think) until NBC picked up the show.
