SCTV re-runs on TV Land

I grew up in Michigan about one hour from the Canadian border, this was when cable TV was rather new and we didn't have it yet. There was a TV station in Canada on channel 9 and we could just barely tune it in, (it was a snowy picture). Anyway, I remember staying up late and watching SCTV every friday night and I thought it was the funniest show on television, I thought of it as a Canadian "Saturday Night Live". I remember going to school on monday and talking to my friends about what I saw on SCTV and they had no clue what I was talking about and had never even heard of SCTV. I was very happy to find that the cable channel "TV Land" is running re-runs of this classic and rather unknown Canadian tv show.
