What if Gilda Radner and Dan Akroyd had been in SCTV?

I was looking at old pictures from the early days of the Toronto Second City troupe and Gilda Radner and Dan Akroyd were in that group along with alot of the rest of the regulars like Eugene Levy and John Candy.

Of course Lorne Michaels poached Radner and Akroyd away when he started up his Saturday Night Live show but what if they had stayed with Second City and been part of the cast of SCTV. That would have been great.

But I suppose without SNL to spur the Canadians to action there never would have been a need for s tv show to keep the Canadians there in Canada so there wouldn't have been any SCTV.

Oh well, Catherine O'Hara did a pretty good impression of her (sort of) later with Dr. Tongue and Bruno.
