Why didn't they give the new members screen credits on Cinemax?

When Rick Moranis joined (not to mention Robin Duke and Tony Rosato) they added him to the opening credits at the beginning of the show.
Same thing with Martin Short when he joined but why when the show went to Cinemax for one year after being given the shaft by NBC didn't they add the three new players to the credits?

They were listed in small print at the end of the episodes but only the four "original" cast members (Flaherty, Levy, Martin and Short...who really wasn't an original...but that's a different argument) got credit as being SCTV.

I suppose maybe it was alittle petty or maybe they sort of knew the show was about over and if they had been sticking around maybe they'd have included the new players?

I'd guess because Rick and Martin became huge presences on the show (and were close friends of the cast members). Anyway, this is the wrong page to ask that on, ask on SCTV Channel's page, bro.

i think the cast knew it was the swan song so they wanted to go out with the newcleus (sp?) cast only ....dave thomas (even though he was mainly gone) said in his book they had a chance to add other members to the main cast (jim carrey one) but no one wanted to...i think they kind of regret it, some new blood couldve reenergised the cast and maybe kept the show going, the cinemax year had some moments but pales in comparison to the heyday

I read that too, Joe wanted to keep the show going and said Billy Crystal and Jim Belushi were on board to do a season 7.
