Favourite Professionals quotes

Ha! Was just watching episode from 5th (4th on the DVD's) series' and I thought I'd share 2 quotes that I loved. Then, here's a good idea, you guys can all share your favourite quotes....... well, here's hoping!

Ok,

1.
Cowley ahs just taken away a gun from an African colonel who is in the protection of C15:

Colonel : A strong willed man this Mr Cowley. Is he always so?

Bodie : That's right colonel. Somewhat disarming I think

The look that Doyle gives Bodie just seals it.

2.

Bodie and Doyle have taken the colonel and his wife to a saafe house. Doyle is reading inside while Bodie sits in the car outside. This exchange takes place over the transitor things.

Doyle : The colonel is in bed gathering information.

Bodie|: : So should I be, I had Louise lined up for tonight you know

Doyle:: He's in bed reading you priapismic monster!

Bodie's face and Doyle's snigger are just perfect.

Bodie:: Priaprismic?

Doyle:: Yeah, look it up, it suits you.

Bodie:: Thanks

Now, your please!

There are many favorite quotes from different episodes but I really like the ones in H/H when Doyle tells Bodie, "You'll save me." and again when Bodie tells him to watch his back and Doyle replies, "You watch it." I think that says so much about the trust between them and the look that Bodie gives his partner with that first quote makes it obvious how close they are. Dorian

I'm glad you like my quote Lou!

my Pro's name is Priapismic Bodie and its stumped quite a few people.

My fav quote, hmm that's hard.

Probably the scene in the car with the boys in Look After Annie.

Cowley with a woman!

Yer he'd kick the door in

Throw her on the bed

And frisk her!

Cheers, Debs (aks Priapismic Bodie)

Cowley: "Bodie, Doyle. Hold on a moment. World Chemical Products — man just fell out of a seventh-storey window."
Doyle: "That's police business."
Cowley: "He jumped."
Bodie: "That's his business."
Cowley: "Somebody had slipped him a drug — him and half the staff there."
Bodie and Doyle: "Well, that's Drug Squad business."
Cowley: "What are you two, some kind of music hall act?"
Bodie: "Whatever we are, you made us."
Doyle: "Ta-da! Anyway, what else, Sir?"
Cowley: "Because the dead man had a class XA security rating and that puts him right under our umbrella. So get over there, fast."

I had the Ta-da as starting sound on my computer ...

From Old Dog with New Tricks:

Turner (being interrogated intimidatingly by B&D): "I want a lawyer"
Bodie: "Why, son, do you want to make a will?"

One of my favourite quotes and scenes... is in the episode "The madness of Mickey Hamilton" when Doyle goes to some heavy black gangsters for information...

and when he thinks their not co-operating enough he says "I might have to get a bit naughty" it's totally hilarious!! especially as he's surrounded by these huge guys.

Strange Music and Priapismic Bodie got my two faves!

I loved the, "You haven't bugged George Cowley!" scenes.

I loved the episode.. can't remember which one, where Bodie gets a really nice single malt whisky thrown in his face by the VIP they're intimidating.

Cowley raps them both for making baseless accusations, then personally raps Bodie for "wasting a good scotch on your face! And for your information there are no really good single malt scotchs - they're ALL good!"

reply

Bodie: If I had a bugle I'd be the cavalry

reply

Government minister to Cowley:"You`re not a very civil, civil servant are you"!

Another highlight is the constant letching:Bodie and Doyle are looking through a sniper`s rifle(adjusting the scope of course)-in reality looking at a fit babe sunbathing-Cowley clocks on and has a gawp as well-priceless moment!

reply

For the record, the ep where Bodie gets a faceful of malt is 'Everest Was Also Conquered', and the one where they're checking out the lady through the rifle scope is 'Killer With a Long Arm'.

From the episode "The Female Factor"

Doyle gets shot in the leg during a shootout. Later (on crutches) he is visiting Highgate Cemetery with Bodie...

BODIE: (Assessing Doyle's injury) You could really impress the birds with that. Just say you went skiing or something. Or you could pretend you got it doing something really dangerous!"
