One of TV's greatest crime series. What season during its long run would you say was its best overall?

So far... (and I'm on series 4 right now), I'd say season 2 was the best.

While season 2 is the best, I'm really enjoying season 5 at the moment and I like that Lewis Collins seems to be having the bigger part in this season with more to do.
