Title sequence

I too! am wondering WHY it was a different title sequence!

I have just seen this ep (BTW: it's named "When the Heat Cools Off" & was ep 9 of Series 1). IMDB have it at: www.imdb.com/title/tt0679345/

Especially odd as the next ep ("Stake Out") returns to the same car-smashing-through-window title sequence.

So I have looked into it further:

There is an informative thread at: www.imdb.com/title/tt0075561/board/nest/136766804
where someone has posted (re the car smashing through window): "it's not taken from any episode and was shot during filming of the 2nd series"
So I deduced?! from that that it is only re-runs that would have had the infamous car sequence!! (not the initial run).

The YT poster states: "Original, little-seen titles sequence for THE PROFESSIONALS, from the broadcast of the first series in 1977."
