Hunter/Hunted (spoilers)

An excellent episode marred by some very implausible plotting.

1)Testing of new weaponry would surely never be designated to serving operatives, and it's utterly inconceivable they would be allowed to take them home!

2)The lads seem remarkably unfazed about being followed on the motorway immediately after taking possession of the 180 gun.

3)Kathie is apparently unconcerned about visiting Maurice Richards's pub with Doyle even though he can link her with Preston.

4)The fact that Kathie was actually married to Preston, a jailed bent cop, is the greatest problem of all. How would this not be noted on her file and not be red-flagged the moment she applied to join CI5?

5)Preston's alibi is accepted far too readily (admittedly, his claim to have got stuck in the Rotherhithe tunnel gives him some wiggle room) and no-one is left watching him even though's he's only one of two main suspects.

6)In the final showdown, Doyle, who we're told has been maintaining radio-silence, shouts out the unsighted Preston's name even though it's unclear how he knows that Preston (and not the absent Montgomery) is the villain of the piece.
